Welcome to Naworth Castle
This is a historic border fortress, built by the Dacres in 1335. It was acquired and renovated by The Howard family in 1602 and is now owned and inhabited by Philip and Elizabeth Howard and family. The castle was a strong-hold for the wardens of West March in the 16th century and served as an impressive residence for the powerful Earls of Carlisle in the 17th century.
This is a long established fair, indeed 2011 will be our 16th year here. The antiques fair will be held in The Long Gallery, The Library, Dining Room and The Old Library.
